As I told you yesterday, the runners left Silverton at 6:00 a.m. for the HardRock 100. The first runner came in at 4:41 this morning. A record finish in 22 hours, 41 minutes. We went to town to watch the 4th place runner come in at 8:58 this morning. Last night's conditions were not so great: cold, raining, lightening. 97 runners still out.

After lunch, we went to Cunningham Gulch, the last checkpoint, to watch some of the runners come over the top of one mountain; check in; and climb the next mountain:
