Friday, June 20 Campground

A lazy day today; just hanging around the campground.  I spent some time rolling around in the grass with a 8 month old Golden Retriever.  She is so pretty.

Here's the helicopter with a bucket.  We thought they were going to scoop up some water from the river in front of us (as they have done in the past) to take to a wildfire, but it circled and left. 



 Mackie & Jimmy walked over to the Animas River that is in front of our RV:

 The narrow gauge train comes into town several times a day just feet away from the RV. 

We don't even notice the whistle anymore.

 We call these "chaser" cars (not sure what their real name is). 

One goes ahead of each train to make sure there have been no slides & the track is clear.

One follows the train to make sure no fire has been started.
